Akshay Kumar Insures 700 Stunt Artists, Takes Big Step for Their Safety

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has set an example of generosity. Actually, Akshay Kumar has taken a big step for the safety of stuntmen. After the tragic death of stuntman SM Raju on the sets of the Tamil film 'Vettuvam', Akshay Kumar has got life insurance for about 650-700 stuntmen and stuntwomen of the film industry. Akshay Kumar is being praised everywhere for this act of generosity.

Stuntmen's set will get insurance up to Rs 5 lakh for treatment 

Let us tell you that the life insurance policy taken by Akshay Kumar includes both health and accident insurance. If a stuntman gets injured on or off the set, he can get insurance up to Rs 5 lakh. Bollywood's famous stunt master Vikram Singh reacted to Akshay's work. He said, "I don't know how to thank you. Because of your work, about 650 to 700 stuntmen and the action crew of Bollywood have now come under the scope of insurance cover".

Stuntman Raju had a shocking death

In a tragic turn of events, veteran stunt performer SM Raju lost his life after a stunt went horribly wrong on the sets of director Pa Ranjith's upcoming film. The incident took place on July 13, and a disturbing video of the shoot has surfaced online, sending shock and concern across the industry. In the video, Raju is seen performing an extremely risky car-toppling stunt. As the car hit the ramp, it lost control, flipped multiple times in the air, and crashed headlong into the ground. It took the crew a few moments to fully comprehend the severity of the accident. When they reached the car, they found Raju severely injured. Despite immediate efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Akshay Kumar Workfront 

Talking about the work front, Akshay Kumar was last seen in 'Housefull 5'. He is reuniting with his old collaborator Saif Ali Khan in Priyadarshan's newly announced film Haiwaan. The director recently shared a picture of the two actors watching the India vs England Test match at Lord's Cricket Stadium in London. Akshay Kumar is also working on two more projects with Priyadarshan: Bhoot Bangla, a horror comedy, and the much-awaited Hera Pheri 3. Fans are eagerly waiting for these films of Akshay Kumar.
